As a reaction to the speed of consumer society, Béatrice Balcou’s performances introduce a quiet focus on art. Behind the scenes of the museum, one piece from a collection is the focal point for a carefully orchestrated ceremony of restrained movements. By revealing, observing and contextualising one artwork very slowly, the artist invites us to take our time. Balcou will present different ceremonies at this year’s edition of Playground.
