The Lobby, Intermission, Overtime, The Clock, Shelf Life

In 2020 Meg Stuart made four video works that reflect on changing notions of time, body and space. They engage in a dialogue with the iconic architecture of HKW in Berlin. While The Lobby is set in its abandoned interiors, the others take place on the roof, an almost otherworldly landscape.

In Shelf Life (2023) Stuart explores the Vorklinik, a recently demolished building in Graz. Together with two dancers she marks this transition through sensorial processing of its vast spaces. With tenderness and sensuality, they connect past and future, dream and decay.
