Elize Charcosset
Tendreath
Tendreath questions the relationship between artist and model, performer and viewer. Equipped with an armpiece made of river mussels, Elize Charcosset creates skeletal portraits of visitors, focusing on our most immediate interior. This drawing session in the afterlife refers to the medieval motif of the Danse Macabre in which the living and the dead are on equal footing, a promise of equality for all in death. Visitors are welcome in the space, where Charcosset decides who she will engage in this exercise and relationship.
