Nefeli Papadimouli’s work interrogate interdependence in the context of social and natural structures. In the words of Julie Pellegrín, she explores a politics of connection “in which the “I” and the “We” are never identical and thus long to enter into connection”. Papadimouli’s research explores the notion of space through its relation to the body. The work reveals or even occupies those invisible or “informal spaces”, as “the distances we observe in our contacts with others”. These links or distances, these “in-between spaces “,reveal that the spatial configurations of distance from others is the essential element of social balance.
