Scapegoat

SCAPEGOAT takes you into a desolate, dark inferno where time stands still, and the distinction between day and night no longer exists. Figures with melted faces wander through the space, so distorted they seem unidentifiable. A process of dehumanisation soon begins. With nothing left to lose, these scapegoats surrender unrestrained to their wildest desires and impulses.

Scapegoat is a despair-driven dance of violence and eroticism. Inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy and Franz Liszt's Dante Sonata, Ferenc Balcaen creates an alternative world that fully challenges your understanding and empathy.

Ferenc Balcaen graduated as a director from RITCS in 2022 and is one of the most promising creators in the Brussels and Flemish performing arts scene.

This performance contains nudity and scenes that may be interpreted as violent.
