Kneeling Figure, Opera and Steel, Pierced Mermaid, Skeleton Dress and Puppeteer
Grace Schwindt places a selection of sculptures, performers and video amongst the permanent collection galleries at the museum. The selected works have previously appeared in performances on theatre stages and in gallery spaces. An acrobat and a singer will activate some of the sculptures using the space and the display to carry out a series of movements and sounds. Schwindt’s presentation explores different media’s conventions of looking at the body.
