• VOETVOLK - INTO THE OPEN
(dance/concert)

Let’s trance!

• BRIK TU-TOK
(concert)

Brik Tu-Tok is the musical brainchild of Maxim Storms and Linde Carrijn, both actor and theatermaker. Their music is raw, catchy and clumsy at the same time, with absurd, humorous and nonsensical lyrics on a bed of household knick knacks and several tam-tams. Their live act makes extensive use of eccentric costumes and dada choreographies. In 2021 they released their debut album The Giggle Gallery on RotKat Records, which is also the musical home of Voetvolk.

• BEATRICE GIBSON
(video)

Throughout the evening you will find the film Deux Soeurs (Qui Ne Sont Pas Soeurs) of french-british filmmaker Beatrice Gibson in the screening room. A crime thriller without a crime, Deux Soeurs unfolds like a dream around two sisters (who are not sisters), a two-seater car, a beauty queen, and a poodle. The film is based on an original screenplay by Gertrude Stein, written in 1929. Gibson transported the narrative to contemporary Paris, and with an intimate network of friends and influences created this abstract thriller as an exploration of inheritance, responsibility, ethics and futurity. Deux Soeurs was shot by friend and collaborator Ben Rivers and features an original soundtrack by British composer Laurence Crane.
