Forme(s) de vie

What gestures would you keep if movement became an objective, a struggle needing your full attention? Éric Minh Cuong Castaing imagines choreographic situations adapted to the bodies of people who are losing their mobility, because of a stroke or neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's. Using their own bodies, dancers support people for whom mobility has become an issue. Gently, the performers act as human prostheses, giving a new meaning to the contemporary notion of the "augmented body". Playground presents two films of these choreographies, shot by Victor Zebo in the South of France.
