The Bridegroom Suites: 3 performances after The Bridegroom of Guy de Cointet, 1983

Guy de Cointet (FR)

The Bridegroom is a short dialogue between an author and his niece, Pamela. Using mime, choreographies and Guy de Cointet’s characteristic style, they try to find the woman a partner. Following an exhibition and numerous presentations, Playground is now presenting The Bridegroom Suites. This performance is a sequence of three short interpretations of de Cointet’s last performance, which has never been performed. Based on a manuscript and notes, three young pairs of artists juxtapose their different versions.
