THE WE IN ME / Feeds
The workshop was held at STUK in late August and was set up as a laboratory
for groups of 9 to 28 people. All participants answered to an open call and
the groups were formed as replies came in. Participants were set out to
touch, carress, massage, smell, squeeze and in other ways interact. The
object was to exchange momentum, one on one or collectively. The video
installation THE WE IN ME shows an organized array of
strangers performing intimate
bonding in an automatized fashion. Throughout the work the participating
touchers sincerely guide us in the undramatic
practice of collective intimacy.
