Falke Pisano (NL) is fascinated by the space between object and subject,
between form and viewer. STUK presents
a spatial installation called Object and Disintegration: The Object
of Three (2008) in which an undefined abstract object is at the
centre. Pisano believes objects have no fixed meaning but are subject to
continuously changing meanings. In the same way an alchemist transforms
material, Pisano investigates how the individual character of an object can
be fragmented and transformed. The three films – projected on objects –
deal with the relationship between the art work and the viewer who decodes
the object.
