Playground

The installations by the British artist Tris Vonna-Michell are autonomous on the one hand, yet also acquire meaning through monologues on the other. Vonna-Michell’s performances belong to the tradition of storytelling; using a script, the artist directly confronts the public. In the Paviljoenenzaal Vonna-Michel creates a new work, in which the pavilions become chapters in a subtle monologue-opera – each separate space becomes the setting for a story. The link shared by all elements, is the history and magic of radio and the spoken word.
