Tell Me is a restaging of the impressive 1979 performance by Guy
de Cointet (1934, Paris – 1983, Los Angeles). De Cointet was the author of
paintings and minimal objects with conspicuous colours. In Tell Me
these art objects provide the setting for three actresses to discuss about
and use these very objects. The three actresses are actually the same as at
the time of the performance’s premiere (1979). Tell Me is about
language and abstraction and investigates how we experience and interpret
daily reality. The performance has been staged earlier at the Tate Modern
in London.
